Dr. S N Prasad is working as an Associate Professor in School of Electronics and Communication Engineering & Assistant Registrar (Evaluation) of REVA University, Bangalore, India. He has completed B. E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Mangalore University and M. Tech. in Power Electronics from Visvesvaraya Technological University. He has secured a rank in his M.Tech from VTU. He has completed his Ph. D from Jain University under the guidance of Dr.S.Y.Kulkarni, Vice Chancellor, REVA University He has more than 20 years of teaching and 3 years of industry (IT) experience.

He has many publications in reputed national/international journals and conferences. Some of the journals where his research articles have been published are IJCA (International Journal of Computer Applications), IJAER (Scopus indexed journal), IJET (Scopus indexed journal) and IJSER (Thomson Reuters, Copernicus indexed), IEEE Sponsored international conferences etc. which are having very good impact factors. He has presented around 40 papers in national & international conferences. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Embedded Systems, Real Time Systems, Signal Processing, Power Electronics and Automotive Electronics etc.

He has guided more than 50 PG projects and 82 UG projects in VTU. He is a reviewer of various national and international conferences and chaired 5 international conferences. He is a member ISTE (MISTE) India, member IE (MIE) India. He has delivered many invited talks in various institutions and the member of BOE & BOS in the reputed universities like Manipal, Nitte & Jain Universities. Other than teaching, he has handled the main offices such as University placement, University admissions, Placement office, Core committee-Alumni cell and mainly Examination & Evaluation office of the University. He has organized many national conferences and 2 international conferences (organizing team).
